It is now the summer of 1975 and, in the north of Finland, the forests are in trouble… trees, animals, bugs are dying off. And just across the border, inside Russia, a huge arrow-shaped structure has showed up on satellite imagery.
But the photos are too oblique and too shaded by clouds for the photo-reconnaissance analysts to work out what’s going on. NATO needs to take a look at this weird arrow from ground level.
